About My Campaign
My sons, Connor and Nicholas suffer from a rare condition called methylmalonic acidemia with homocystinuria. We’ve managed to move from a limit of 6grams protein per day to then 12 grams protein and now we are working to liberalize their diets to a more normal range with less protein restrictions.
Having experienced the difficulties in eating a healthy, wholesome diet while staying within the restricted limits was a real eye opener for us and almost a full time job, trying to get the best nutrition into my boys. I’d love to raise awareness for the day to day difficulties of everyone suffering from a metabolic illness.
